New Car Manager
Chuck Ricker
Chuck Ricker began his career here as a salesman in 1977. He is currently our new car manager. He belongs to a number of local organizations: Franklin Lodge #12, York Rite, American Legion Post #8 and Union Lodge #3. His is a lifetime member of the Georgetown Fire Company. He has participated ten consecutive years in Relay for Life. He has three children: Kyle, Melissa, and Erin.

"I have been at 1st State Chevy for 21 years and started in sales and have been the pre-owned sales manager for the last 10 years. I am a 1990 graduate of Penn State University with a bachelor of arts-economics degree. I also was a member of the golf team while at Penn State. I am actively involved with the Georgetown Little League and served as president from 2007-2008. My wife Tammy and 2 boys, Brent and Blaine live in Georgetown."

"I've been with 1st State going since 2000 and I've been in the auto business for over 35 years. I live in the Long Neck area with my wife, son, and mother in law, and I've got 2 daughters and 5 grandchildren living in Pennsylvania. Currently I'm the Commander of American Legion Post 28, the 3rd largest Post in the world. When time permits, I enjoy boating, crabbing, fishing, and I've been an E-A-G-L-E-S season ticket holder for close to 25 years."

"I have been working for 1st State Chevy since 1981 in the collision center. I became manager in 1989. My family and I have been involved with the Pop Warner youth football program since 1995, where we enjoy helping young people in our community. I also enjoy hunting and spending time with my family."

Stephanie Hastings
"Hello, my name is Stephanie Hastings and I am the Manager of the Parts Department for First State Chevrolet. I have lived here in Georgetown all my life. I graduated from Sussex Central High School and attended the University of Delaware. I have been an employee at First State for 14 years and have managed the Parts Department for the past 12 years. By being born and raised right here in Georgetown, I feel very much at home here at First State ad part of First State's family. We at First State would like to think of you as our extended family and I look forward to serving you in the future."

Dawn Moore
Dawn Moore is our finance manager, she joined us in 2007 and has been helping customers finance their cars since 2000. Dawn lives near Magnolia and commutes downstate. She is a certified F&I Professional with AFIP. She headed the "Challenger League" for Camden-Wyoming Little League this year. She is currently studying the geneology of her family and working on her membership with The Daughters of the American Revolution. She is married and has three sons, Parker age 9, Jordan age 16, and Alan age 19. She is a 1994 graduate of Delaware State University.

Joshua Lowe
Hi, I hail from here in Georgetown, I attended Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina on a wrestling and academic scholarship. I graduated with a BS in Business Administration and Computer Science in 2008. In my free time I enjoy bow hunting, fishing, the beach, attending Laurel Church of the Nazarene, golf, tennis, and many other sports. I have been with 1st State Chevy since April 2011 and I love my job.

I am a lifetime resident of Sussex County, graduated from Bridgeville High School and graduated with a 4.0 in Accounting from Delaware Technical and Community College. My husband John and I live in Laurel, Delaware and I have two sons and three grandchildren who all reside in Laurel. I enjoy working with people and spending time with my family."

"I graduated from Caesar Rodney High School in 1988 and have lived in the Lewes/Rehoboth area for 25 years. I have 2 wonderful children Brittany age 18 and Cole age 15. When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my family and friends camping, jet skiing, fishing, relaxing at the beach or pool, target shooting, watching movies and playing board games."

"I have been with our sales staff for 8 years, and previous to that was a long time customer of 1st State Chevrolet. I’m a retired Delaware State Trooper. I volunteered with the Georgetown Little League for 10 years as a manager and on the board of directors. I volunteered with the Boy Scouts for 15 years as an assistant den leader and assistant scout master. I’m a 1971 graduate of Sussex Central and later graduated from Delaware Tech. I attend Grace United Methodist Church and am a member of the American Legion Post 8 (Past Post Commander) and the Franklin Lodge #12. I have been married to my wife Bonnie for 38 years. My son Brett is now 30 yrs old."

"I have been a Georgetown resident for 20 years. I have been a sales professional for 30 years, the last 9 1/2 years in car sales, and have been at 1st State Chevy for the past 4 1/2 years. One of my favorite hobbies is to take my Silverado 3500 and pickup camper to Assateague Island for fishing and recreation! And if I actually catch some fish, it's a plus!"

"I graduated from Dover High School in 1993. I have three boys, Nicholas, Matthew, and Jacob which keep me very busy and a lovely wife, Kim. I have been in the fire service for 21 years and now the Vice President of the County Chiefs Association. I have been a board member for the Georgetown Little League for 12 years and am currently the president. I have been in car sales for over 13 years and I am currently working for 1st State Chevy in Georgetown. Just remember, we are the dealership that puts you, the customer, first!"

"I have been with the 1st State sales staff for the past 8 years. I graduated from the University of Delaware in 2006 with a degree in Marketing, Finance, and Economics. I was a member of the American Marketing Association for 3 years, and in 2005 was inducted into the Financial Management Association's honor society.
I have participated in the American Cancer society's Relay for Life fundraiser for the past 14 years. You can find me on Sunday mornings at Midway Baptist Church in Lewes, DE. Other activities I enjoy include UD football, going to the beach, and volunteering for Georgetown Little League. I also spend time with my father working for our land prep and excavation business, Ricker's Earth Service. Best of all, I’m getting married to my best friend Erin Short later this year!"
